Bryan Goot (known as Brian Gleeson in the online version) is a teenager that is a grade ahead of Greg's whose book Greg got a year prior to The Ugly Truth in the book hand-me-down event. According to Greg, he is too nerdy and due to to the fact that his book had previously belonged to Bryan he was considered "uncool".
