A diary or commonly referred to as a "journal" by Greg Heffley is a notebook Greg uses to write his life in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series to avoid having to answer the public's questions when Greg gets famous in the future. The diary also directly appears throughout the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Rowley Jefferson also gets one, narrating the Diary of an Awesome Friendly Kid series.
History[]
In Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Greg's Mom bought Greg a diary so he could write down his feelings about starting middle school. From here, she buys Greg at least one diary every year. In one year, Susan got 6 diaries for Greg, which is the most he has filled in a year.
