L.J. Benet (born January 2, 1997) is an American actor who provided the singing voice of Greg Heffley in the first film.

L.J. Benet is 5'5 feet (1.73m) tall. He was born in Los Angeles, California. In other TV shows/films, he portrays Karl Fink in Disney Channel's Dog With a Blog. He also appeared in Wizards of Waverly Place as a youthful version of Professor Crumbs.

Bio[]

Benet, a native of Los Angeles, California, embarked on his professional acting and singing career at the age of 11. His debut included a guest appearance on The Mentalist (2009) and a role as young Tommy in the equity theatre production of The Who's Tommy at the Ricardo Montalban Theatre in Hollywood. LJ's journey continued with theatrical performances, including BIG, the Musical, paving the way for roles in two films: Diary of A Wimpy Kid (as a voiceover singer) and You Again, where he delivered a humorous performance as Eric, the boy in the tree house.

In 2010, LJ took center stage in two world premier musicals: Limelight: The Story of The Charlie Chaplin at the La Jolla Playhouse (Young Sydney) and Great Expectations at the Utah Shakespeare Festival, where he co-starred as Young Pip. Additionally, he starred in the indie short film The Legend of Beaver Dam (2010), an award-winning horror rock opera that premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and earned a jury award at Sundance.

His credits extend to a guest appearance on Wizards of Waverly Place in the episode "Back to Max," portraying Little Crumbs. LJ also secured a featured role in the Fox film We Bought A Zoo and a guest-starring role in the Fox series Breaking In, specifically in the episode "Need for Speed."
