Mr. Palmero is the school guidance counselor who chaperoned during the Lock-In. He appears in The Ugly Truth.

When it is time to sleep, Mr. Palmero stays in the auditorium to look after the boys. He becomes annoyed after several people fart on multiple occasions and tells them that if they needed to pass gas, they have to go behind the curtain on the stage to do it. The boys then start taking turns asking to go behind the curtain and making the most obnoxious sound possible, and it reaches its peak when David Rosenburg goes down to the music room and brings back a tuba. At this point, the heat in the auditorium shut off and the room rapidly cooled, so the boys stayed in their sleeping bags afterwards. Mr. Palmero eventually falls asleep, but the boys are still awake and try their best to break out. However, at 3:00am, a bunch of angry parents start knocking on the door, when Mr. Palmero finally opens it, they start arguing with him because they had tried to call their children but weren't able to because the teachers had taken all the mobile phones. At the end, all the parents there take their children home, leaving only Greg and Rowley Jefferson at the Lock-In.

Trivia[]

  • It's possible that Mr. Palmero is a replacement for Mr. Phillips, a school guidance counselor who appeared in The Last Straw, since both of them are guidance counselors and Mr. Palmero is identified as such using the definite article "the", suggesting that he is only person with that title at school.
  • Given his name, it is likely that Mr. Palmero is Italian or of Italian descent.
