“ | Hey! Rowley Jefferson, is that you?" "Yes, Mrs. Irvine! |
” |
— Mrs. Irvine and Greg |
Mrs. Irvine is a friend of Linda Jefferson who appears in Diary of a Wimpy Kid. She is played by Karin Konoval in the book's film adaptation.
History[]
Diary of a Wimpy Kid[]
In the book, she sees Greg Heffley on Safety Patrol duty, chasing some kindergartners with a worm and mistakes him for Rowley Jefferson, as he was borrowing his coat. She yells at him from her front porch and says that the principal will hear about his behavior which Greg didn't bother to clarify. Her face and body is not seen in the books, and only her back is seen.[1]
Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2010 film)[]
In the movie, Greg forces the kindergartners to hide with him in a ditch after he thinks he saw the truck of the teenagers who ambushed him on Halloween driving by and persuades the kindergarteners to go in by talking about flesh-eating aliens. When Mrs. Irvine comes out, Greg makes a run for it. After she finds the kindergartners, one of them asks "Are you going to eat us?," likely because of her green facial mask giving the appearance of an alien.
Trivia[]
