Poetry Anthology was a book that includes thousands of low-quality poems written by thousands of kids in Double Down.

When Susan Heffley enrolls Greg Heffley in the National Poetry Council, Greg for a short time felt like he was a poet however discovers it to be a letdown when he receives the book. The book was 80 dollars and included a lot of different poems from kids in varying qualities such as "My Turtle Fred". Susan didn’t see it as a scam at first and bought 10 copies to relatives, however figures out the scam after the National Poetry Council kept calling her to buy more books.

In double down, the books are used to reach high places, helping Greg discover stashes of gummy worms and setting up the main plot at the end of the book.
